As a performing musician Ilse is a much sought clarinet and bass clarinet player, and she has performed with some of the most prestigious orchestras and ensembles throughout The Netherlands, including Het Promenade Orchestra, Doelen Ensemble, Het Gelders Orkest and the Orkest van het Oosten.
In addition, Ilse is also active as a teacher and organiser, both in private lessons and in the educational projects Hello Music & Music Makes School, which gives her a lot of challenge and pleasure.
Ilse studied clarinet & bass clarinet with Harmen de Boer, Hans Colbers and Erik van Deuren at the Amsterdam Conservatory.
