
Marc Kaptijn studied trumpet with Edward Carrol, John Wallace, James Watson and Ad van Zon at the Rotterdam Conservatory and at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
In 2002, after graduating with honours, Mark went on to become a much sought trumpet player, and he regularly performs with the most prestigious orchestras and contemporary music ensembles in the Netherlands, such as Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Noord Nederlands Orchestra, Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, Orkest v/h Oosten, Radio Chamber Orchestra, Nieuw Ensemble, ASKO/Schönberg Ensemble, Doelenensemble, Orkest de Volharding and ensemble Imsomnio
Mark has an affinity with new music and music theatre, and he also writes and arranges chamber and orchestral music.
